Suzahna was principal dancer for the musical group Kinan, an ensemble of New World Music, their CD is now available on the Intuitive Sound Productions label.

Suzahna had the privilege of dancing in the sound studio during the making of the CD.

 

 

Shortly thereafter, Suzahna became interested in Middle Eastern drumming, studying under the direction of the accomplished darbuka musicians Eric Peterson and Daniel Stern of Atlanta. Suzahna occasionally performs as a drummer with the Atlanta all-women's drumming group, Girls On Drums.




 

Since that time, Suzahna has travelled extensively throughout the country studying all forms of Middle Eastern dance, from the most gifted and highly respected teachers of those forms. Some of them are listed below, along with Suzahna's comments about them:

Suzahna is a member of the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance and has been certified in Level II of the Suhaila Salimpour method of Egyptian bellydance.
